Weather and Climate at UAN

Universidade Agostinho Neto (UAN) is located in Luanda, Angola, which experiences a hot semi-arid climate. The city has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (May to September) - Temperatures range from 20°C to 28°C, with very little rainfall.
• Wet Season (October to April) - Temperatures can reach up to 33°C, with significant rainfall, averaging around 300mm per month in the peak months.

Extreme weather conditions include occasional heavy storms during the wet season, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities on campus. The climate generally supports year-round academic activities, though the wet season may require adjustments for outdoor research.
