Weather and Climate at VMU

Vietnam Maritime University, located in Hai Phong, experiences a humid subtropical climate. The city has distinct seasons:

• Summer (May to September): Hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 28°C to 35°C. This period sees the highest rainfall, with potential for typhoons.
• Winter (November to March): Cooler with temperatures between 15°C to 22°C. Rainfall is less frequent but can still occur.
• Spring and Autumn: These transitional seasons are mild, with temperatures around 20°C to 28°C.

The weather impacts commuting due to heavy rains, and campus life often adapts with indoor activities during the wet season. Outdoor research may be limited during typhoon season.
