Weather and Climate at YS

Yonsei University, located in Seoul, experiences a humid continental climate with four distinct seasons. The YS campus life is influenced by these seasonal changes:

• Spring (March to May): Temperatures range from 5°C to 20°C. It's a pleasant time with blooming cherry blossoms, ideal for outdoor activities.
• Summer (June to August): Temperatures can reach up to 30°C with high humidity. Rainfall is significant, with the monsoon season in July and August affecting commuting and outdoor research.
• Autumn (September to November): Temperatures drop from 25°C to 10°C. The weather is mild, making it a great time for outdoor events and research.
• Winter (December to February): Temperatures can fall below 0°C, with occasional heavy snowfall. This can impact commuting and outdoor activities but adds a unique charm to the Yonsei University campus.

Extreme weather conditions like typhoons in summer and cold waves in winter can occasionally disrupt campus life and research activities.
