I’ve also found him unpleasant and unapproachable. Asking a question in the lab often leads to a five-minute ramble that barely addresses the original question, leaving me more confused than before. | 1.00 | My experience with this lecturer was extremely negative. Throughout the seminar series, I felt repeatedly put on the spot in ways that caused significant anxiety and distress. In multiple classes, I was unexpectedly required to respond in front of the group, and when I struggled, I felt that the responses I received were confrontational, dismissive and disrespectful rather than supportive. During one seminar, I became so overwhelmed that my mind went completely blank and I was unable to speak. Instead of feeling helped through the situation, I felt singled out and humiliated in front of other students. As an autistic student, I found the seminar environment inaccessible and felt that my communication difficulties were not appropriately accommodated. | 1.00 | To start off with, she is very opinionated and rude to some of her students. She played a video in class that had NOTHING to do with the lesson, and the video contained inappropriate language and sexual references. She also has told me in class that me and her were enemies because I was a Christian and she was an atheist. She failed one of my assignments because she claimed I used AI (which i did not), and when I kindly confronted her about it, she had no proof of me using AI, and she didn't even know how to use her software correctly. She does not provide study guides or any material which her students need to use to study. She expects you to read the book and study the 200-500 different key terms, memorize them, and then take the test. This is very inconvenient and time consuming especially for students who have other courses. Oftentimes, the stuff we study in the reading and the things she "lectures" us about in class are almost never on the test. While taking the test, I have come across questions that make no sense and tons of misspelled words. Also, I have emailed her on multiple occasions asking her very general questions about the class, and she is often times very rude and careless with her responses. On the first day of class she introduced herself as a profound abortion supporter, an atheist, and I quote a ,"Bad B****". She has on many occasions made students feel bad for not having the 100% correct answer to her question that she oftentimes asks in the middle of class without any warning. During her lectures, she uses slides and power points that are very basic and genuinely not very similar to the lesson. Most of the classes I have attended she has only gotten through 2 of the 17 or more slides she has prepared because she talks about her beliefs and her opinions pretty much the entirety of the class. The assignments are basic discussion questions due every Friday by 5 and otherwise we just have tests and sometimes a quiz. Again, the material we study is never what we have to know for the test, and again she misspells words, and some questions do NOT make any sense. Lastly, she has used some students as examples in the class, and some of the questions she asks are racist and she is very entitled while lecturing and makes her students think she is better than them. She has explicitly said that she is racist in class before and that she doesn't care what her students think of her or how class goes because she is only there for the paycheck. Overall, I DON'T recommend taking this class due to the reasons listed above. Finding the same class taught by a different professor would be way better than taking this class. The class started off alright until another student shouted out "You suck!", and rightly so because this guy does suck. He's too busy throwing white board markers and watching Kippy285gamer and not actually teaching us anything, and not to mention the silly comments he makes about the Bay Olympic women's first team.
