Position Description
Under supervision and training from a Cytogenetic Technologist, the incumbent prepares, examines, and analyzes chromosomes found in biological specimens such as amniotic fluids, bone marrow, and blood, to aid in diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases. May perform advanced technical duties in the diagnostic study of cells for the purpose of recognition and classification under supervision and training of a Cytogenetic Technologist.
