Sponsored Post Terms & Conditions
These terms cover guest articles published as sponsored content on AcademicJobs.com. Prices are in USD. Payment is by credit card before an article is accepted.
Audience Alignment
Articles must give genuine educational, career, operational, or strategic value to the higher-education readers below. Off-topic or generic pieces that do not engage higher education, institutional decisions, academic research, or career development are declined.
- Prospective and pre-college students comparing institutions, degrees, and pathways
- Undergraduate students looking for study, campus, internship, and career advice
- Parents and families weighing selection, campus safety, tuition, and rankings
- Faculty, lecturers, adjuncts, postdocs, and guest scholars
- Researchers, principal investigators, and lab or R&D specialists
- Deans, vice-chancellors, department heads, administrators, and EdTech decision-makers
- Higher-ed HR, recruiters, diversity officers, and talent leaders
- Master’s students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers
Strictly Prohibited Topics
AcademicJobs.com rejects, without a refund, any submission that promotes, features, or links to the subjects below. A higher-education piece that misses the genre may be resubmitted once. A prohibited topic may not.
- Competitors: competing job boards, academic recruitment platforms, university job portals, or employment marketplaces
- Cryptocurrency, Web3, NFTs, ICOs, forex, day-trading software, and other high-risk speculative finance
- Sexually suggestive material, adult services, pornography, explicit products, and sexually explicit health claims
- Dating apps, matchmaking, romance coaching, and relationship advisory services
- Casinos, sports betting, poker, iGaming, lotteries, fantasy sports, sweepstakes, and other games of chance
- Essay mills, contract cheating, and other academic-dishonesty schemes
- Graphic violence, gore, or dangerous activities
- Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or defamatory claims
- Illegal substances, controlled products, weapons, or illicit goods
- Unverified medical advice, miracle cures, or pseudoscience
- Clickbait, misleading headlines, or unverified sensationalism
Content Integrity & AI
AI is welcome for research, outlines, and a first draft. The articles that get read and adopted are the ones a person has edited: a clear voice, concrete examples, and facts that have been checked. That human pass is what makes a sponsored piece feel useful instead of generic.
Check every figure, quote, and citation before you send the draft. Accurate data and real references are what readers rely on, and they are what keeps the article trustworthy after it is published.
- Edit an AI draft for voice, specific examples, and a point of view
- A human pass improves readability and how readily the audience adopts the advice
- Check data, statistics, quotes, and citations so the piece is accurate
- A distinct angle beats a restatement of search results
Outbound Links
Each article may include up to three contextual links to the sponsor’s domain, landing pages, whitepapers, or institutional portals. Commercial links are published with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".
- HTTPS only, and the page must load. Broken URLs, redirect loops, and dead pages are removed or the article is rejected.
- Anchors are natural: a brand, a publication title, or a descriptive phrase. Exact-match keyword stuffing is not accepted.
- Generic anchors such as “click here”, “website”, or “link” are not accepted.
- Destinations are reviewed. Links to competitors or a prohibited niche are removed or the submission is rejected.
- Destination URLs are pre-approved before the article is drafted.
Formatting & Assets
Send the article and the assets below with the submission. Missing assets delay review.
- 800 to 2,200 words, with H2 and H3 subheadings
- A 1200×630 hero image
- A brand logo
- An author headshot
- Optional: an author bio of about 50 words
- No more than three outbound links
- Email the draft and assets to info@academicjobs.com
Payment, Refunds & Resubmission
All prices are in USD. Payment is by credit card before an article is accepted. Invoice billing is not available.
There are no refunds. If an article is rejected because it does not match the higher-education genre, you may resubmit that article once. A second rejection, or a rejection for a prohibited topic, ends the placement with no refund.
Editorial Review & Right of Refusal
Every submission is reviewed by hand before it goes live. AcademicJobs.com may edit for tone and house style, ask for changes, refuse a piece, or remove it after publication if it breaks these terms or harms our publisher relationships. Payment does not guarantee approval.
Embedded links are checked. A destination that points at a competitor, a prohibited niche, or a dead page leads to link removal or rejection.
Pre-Submission Checklist
Confirm these five points before you send a draft.
- Named human author, a bio of up to 50 words, and a live professional profile link
- The topic is useful to at least one core reader group, in an educational or analytical tone
- Neither the draft nor the three destination URLs mention competitors, crypto, casinos, sexually explicit content, dating, essay mills, or unverified claims
- 800–2,200 words, at most three HTTPS links with natural anchors, plus a 1200×630 hero, logo, and author headshot
- Edited for a human voice and fact-checked. AI drafts are welcome when a person has added examples, a point of view, and checked citations
