Prof. A. C. Harley serves as the Head of the Department of Music at Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya, Wardha, where she holds the position of Associate Professor. With qualifications including an M.A. in Vocal Indian Music, B.Ed., and NET, she joined the institution as a lecturer in September 2003 and has since led the department, which offers B.A. programs in Indian Music (Vocal) emphasizing practical training using traditional and modern instruments such as tabla, harmonium, sitar, dholak, and flute. The department maintains a dedicated library and organizes seminars, workshops, and competitions to nurture musical talent among rural students.
Her academic interests focus on Indian classical music, vocal techniques, the societal role of music, devotional and folk music applications, national unity through music, and modern developments like electronic instruments, pranayam practices, and gharanas in contemporary contexts. Prof. Harley has contributed nine research papers with ISBN/ISSN, presented at national and state seminars, including "Manavi Jivanat Sangitachi Bhumika" in Aadhar (2020), "Rashtrasantanchi Bhajanavali Samajik Aikyacha Sanskrutik Varasa" (Aadhar, 2020), "Rashtrasantancha Sangitvishayak Drushtikon" (Aadhar, 2020), "Khyal Gayan Kal Aaj Ani Udya," "Bhartiy Shastriya Sangeetat Kanth Sadhanechi Avashyakata," and "Sangeetamadhe Electronic Upkarnancha Upयोग." She has organized light music solo competitions, inter-collegiate patriotic song events, and the annual musical night "NADANKIT" featuring artists like Pandit Vikas Kashalkar. Additionally, she recorded the college anthem "Yeshwant Geet" with students, provides consultancy to sister institutions, and participates in committees such as Hospitality, IQAC, NSS, and Electoral Literacy Club as Campus Ambassador.
