Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy serves as Principal of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at St. Peters Engineering College (Autonomous) in Hyderabad, Telangana, a role he assumed in 2025. Prior to this, he was Principal at Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, from 2019 to 2025. He holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, awarded in 2015, and an M.Tech from Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2008. A lifetime member of the Computer Society of India, IEEE, and AMIE since 2015, Dr. Reddy has guided doctoral theses, including those on troubleshooting industrial problems using SPI method VARIFORM, machine learning-based knowledge representation in semantic web through answer set programming, and tree-based reallocation algorithms for weather applications efficiency enhancement, all completed in 2022 at Sri Satya Sai University of Technology and Medical Sciences.
Dr. Reddy's research specializations encompass image processing for brain MRI abnormality and tumor detection, breast cancer detection via segmentation techniques, biometrics, network on chip architectures, cloud computing security, and queueing theory. Notable publications include 'Abnormality detection of brain MRI images using a new spatial FCM algorithm' (International Journal of Engineering Science & Advanced Technology, 2012), 'Comparative analysis of brain tumor detection using different segmentation techniques' (International Journal of Computer Applications, 2013), 'Abnormality detection of brain MR image segmentation using iterative conditional mode algorithm' (International Journal of Applied Information Systems, 2013), and 'A novel image segmentation technique for detection of breast cancer' (International Journal of Information Technology and Knowledge Management, 2010). He co-authored the book 'Global trends in information systems and software applications' (Springer, 2012) and served as Chief Editor for multiple volumes of 'Recent Research Trends in Computer Science'. His contributions have earned him the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Bharath Siksha Award for outstanding contributions in innovation and discoveries (2023), leadership (2022), and overall performance (2021); Faculty Excellence Award and Outstanding Leadership Award (Ed & Immigo, 2021); IJRACSE Best Reviewer Award (2021); and JRACSE Best Editor Award (2020).
