About Abu Daud

Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hasan serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of English and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at ASA University Bangladesh. He is based in room 311 on campus. His administrative roles extend to significant positions within the university governance structure, including membership in the ASA University Academic Council and the Syndicate. As Chief Editor of the ASA University Review, a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the university, he manages the editorial process for scholarly contributions across disciplines. Manuscripts are submitted directly to him for consideration. The journal has published eighteen regular issues under the framework he oversees.

Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hasan has presided over numerous key university events, demonstrating his leadership in academic and student affairs. These include the seminar on 'Reading the British Romantic Poetry in Bangladesh' organized by the Department of English, seminars on Shakespearean Drama, fresher receptions for new batches such as Fall 2022, farewell ceremonies for the Department of English in 2022, and orientation programs for the 45th batch of students. He has also chaired programs like independence day celebrations and national day events at the university. In addition, records from 2012 indicate he acted as Vice-Chancellor (In Charge) while serving as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The Department of English, under his chairmanship, offers Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts programs in English, including specializations in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching. His long-term commitment to the institution underscores his contributions to English studies and faculty administration at ASA University Bangladesh.
