Agatha Kanakamuni serves as the International Market Manager for Indonesia and South-East Asia within the International Marketing and Recruitment team at the University of Otago's International Office. Her primary responsibilities include contributing to the promotion and development of the University's international profile, managing marketing strategies and recruitment of international students from Indonesia and South-East Asia, overseeing strategic international partner relationship management, and developing integrated marketing and communication strategies for prospective international students. The International Office, located in the Clocktower Building in Dunedin, New Zealand, supports future students, enrolled international students, and international development initiatives at the University.
Agatha Kanakamuni is based in Indonesia and actively participates in recruitment activities across the region, such as webinars, info sessions, in-house chats, campus visits, and education fairs. She has represented the University of Otago at events including sessions at Selset Education Centre, Alfalink, and visits to institutions like i3L and Universitas Indonesia. Prior to joining the University of Otago, she worked at Central Queensland University (CQUniversity) in marketing roles, including as Assistant Marketing Manager based in Jakarta, where she conducted student recruitment roadshows in Vietnam and the Philippines and collaborated on articulation programs and open houses. With over eight years of professional experience in international student recruitment, specializing in higher education promotion in Australia and New Zealand, Agatha Kanakamuni plays a vital role in connecting South-East Asian students with academic opportunities at the University of Otago.
