Rate My Professor Alana Santos

In 2025, Alana Santos contributed to the Project DOUG & AVA team, which won the University of Otago Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff (Team). Comprising members from the Continuous Improvement team, Student Experience Admissions team, and technology partner Quanton, the group implemented Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots in the eVision admissions system. Alana was part of the AVA subgroup, responsible for Application Validation Automation, while DOUG handled Domestic Offers for Undergraduate students. These tools automate repetitive tasks like application validation and offer generation, resulting in substantial time savings for staff, quicker application processing, and enhanced experiences for applicants, administrative personnel, and academic departments. The achievement reflects the team's exceptional leadership, clear communication, robust collaboration, and adept handling of a complex project environment.
