Rate My Professor Alexa Mottram

Alexa Mottram is Senior Lecturer in Product Design and Programme Leader at the Lincoln School of Design and Architecture, University of Lincoln. She holds a BA(Hons) in Product and Furniture Design from Edinburgh College of Art and an MSc in Sustainable Architecture and Renewable Energy Studies. Mottram is a designer-maker who has operated Motties for over ten years. Her research interests centre on sustainable design, and she has contributed to design and contextual studies at the university while serving on the EDI Committee.

In 2023 she co-authored the paper “The Complexities of Political Engagement and Consumer Response to Woke Design.” Mottram’s professional activities include programme leadership in product design within the Architecture and Design faculty at the University of Lincoln.
