About Amanda

Amanda H. Corbett, PharmD, BCPS, FCCP, FAIHM, is an Associate Professor in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, contributing to medicine through her roles as Assistant Dean for Professional Education and Global Pharmacology Coordinator for the Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases. She joined the faculty in 2003 following extensive training. Corbett received a BS in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill in 1994 and a PharmD from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 1999. She completed a PGY1 Residency in Pharmacotherapy at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, a PGY2 Residency in Infectious Diseases at UNC Health Care and UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, and a Fellowship in HIV Pharmacology at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2003. She also holds a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine from the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.

Her academic interests encompass infectious disease pharmacotherapy, HIV pharmacology, clinical pharmacology of dietary supplements, and integrative health, blending Western medicine with complementary approaches such as mind-body modalities, Reiki, yoga, vitamins, minerals, herbal therapy, and leadership coaching. Board-certified in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP) and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (FAIHM), Corbett has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, reviews, and book chapters. She has presented her work to over 65 national and international audiences. In addition to her research and scholarship, she contributes to the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, global engagement efforts, and the UNC Center for AIDS Research, advancing education, clinical practice, and whole-person health wellness.
