About Amber
Amber Russell serves as Schools' Liaison Officer at the University of Otago, based in the Auckland office within the External Engagement division. She engages with secondary schools across the region to promote the university's academic programs, scholarships, entrance requirements, and campus life. In March 2019, at age 26, she competed for New Zealand at the Asia Pacific Power Lifting and Bench Press Championships, winning gold in the Classic Women’s Open Bench Press category, establishing a new Oceania record with a lift of 102.5 kilograms, and receiving the best overall lifter award after dominating her class.
