Dr. Ami Nukada serves as a General Practitioner at the University of Otago's Student Health Services in Dunedin, within the broader field of Medicine. He completed his medical education at the University of Otago Medical School, graduating in 2001. Following graduation, Dr. Nukada pursued his junior doctor training in Dunedin, New Zealand, and Ireland. During this time, he specialized in emergency medicine, honing skills in urgent and acute patient care across different healthcare systems.
In 2008, Dr. Nukada transitioned to general practice, emphasizing comprehensive primary care. He has been a key member of the Student Health Services team since 2009, providing essential medical services to university students. His clinical practice focuses on general health concerns, with special interests in minor surgery and skin issues. Student Health Services, where Dr. Nukada practices, offers a range of healthcare including general practice consultations, treatments for common ailments, vaccinations, sexual health services, and minor procedures, supporting the well-being of the student community at the University of Otago.
