Associate Professor Amie Hayley is an NHMRC and Rebecca L. Cooper Al & Val Rosenstrauss Fellow at the Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences at Swinburne University of Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Victoria University and a PhD in Medicine from Deakin University, completed between 2012 and 2015. Her academic career includes appointments as Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor at Swinburne, with previous recognition as an NHMRC Peter Doherty Biomedical Early Career Research Fellow from 2017 to 2020. Hayley’s research focuses on areas within psychopharmacology, including drug driving, road safety, neurocognitive performance, and related topics in mental health and brain sciences. She has received the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Excellence Award (Early Career) from Swinburne University of Technology in 2020 and a Young Scientist Award in 2019.
