Rate My Professor Anand Rajavat

Dr. Anand Rajavat serves as Dean Academics at Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, and as Professor and Director of Shri Vaishnav Institute of Information Technology (SVIIT) in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore in 2014, M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university in 2007 with First Division, and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Vikram University, Ujjain in 2000 with First Division. Boasting over 23 years of teaching experience, Dr. Rajavat's career progression includes roles as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science from 2001 to 2007, Associate Professor from 2007 to 2014, Professor from 2014 to 2015, Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering from 2016 to 2017, and Director of the Department of Computer Science at Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya from 2018 to 2022.

Dr. Rajavat has supervised 105 undergraduate projects, 25 postgraduate projects (10 ongoing), and five Ph.D. scholars, with theses including privacy-preserving data models for data publishing in 2024 and microservices architecture in edge computing in 2023. His research output comprises 107 publications, including 4 journal articles, 7 book chapters, 5 books, 62 conference proceedings, 1 journal issue, and 28 others; among these, 82 research papers with 15 indexed in IEEE Xplore, 2 in Springer digital library, 1 authored book, and 7 book chapters (2 in Springer). He has received the Dronacharya Award from IBM in 2008 and 2009, from SVVV in 2019, and Excellence in Academics Award from ESN in 2021. Dr. Rajavat has organized national hackathons, conclaves, and congresses, and served as Chairman of Admissions and Scholarship Committees, Coordinator of ERP and Shri Vaishnav Entrance Test, Nodal Officer for AIU-SVVV-AADC, and member of Board of Management, Academic Council, IQAC, and Board of Studies for CSE/IT/CA.
