Rate My Professor Andrea Jones

Andrea Jones is the Team Leader, Divisional Communications in the Division of Health Sciences at the University of Otago. She joined the university in 2022 following a career as a communications contractor and after spending a decade in local government communications. A former print journalist, Andrea leads the Health Sciences Communications team and provides essential communication services to the Faculty of Medicine, including the Faculty of Medicine – Dunedin and the Dunedin School of Medicine. Her role involves supporting external engagement initiatives and promoting the division's activities through various media.

Andrea holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Canterbury and a journalism diploma from Aoraki Polytechnic. Her professional background in journalism and public sector communications equips her to effectively communicate complex health sciences information to diverse audiences.
