Dr Andrew Lucas is a Research Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Australia, within the discipline of Pathology and Laboratory Science. His work focuses on immunology and the health impacts of plastic-associated chemicals. He has contributed to research on reducing exposure to phthalates and bisphenols through lifestyle interventions, including as co-first author on studies related to the PERTH Trial, which demonstrated significant reductions in urinary levels of these chemicals following a low-plastic diet and lifestyle changes.
