Annalise Caudle is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Theatre and Film at the University of Mississippi, specializing in lighting design within the Department of Theatre and Film in the College of Liberal Arts. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Texas State University in 2018. Prior to her appointment at the University of Mississippi in fall 2021, Caudle worked professionally as Lighting Director and Associate Lighting Director for regional theatre companies including Milwaukee Rep, Florida Rep, The Paramount Theatre, The Goodman, ZACH Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, and New Stage Theatre Company. These experiences equipped her with practical expertise in creating lighting for live performances.
At the University of Mississippi, Caudle has applied her skills to departmental productions, serving as lighting designer for several shows. She designed the lighting for Hazel in 2022, simulating a hurricane onstage at Meek Auditorium in collaboration with sound designer Sam Palumbo. Additional credits include Legally Blonde the Musical with set design and props by Cody Stockstill, Romeo and Juliet directed by Lindsay-Rae Taylor, and The Prom with Kayla Mariah Fifer as Alyssa Greene. Her contributions extend to the Medal of the Arts award show and workshops like Designer's 1st Steps: Start Bringing Things to the Table at a Mississippi Theatre Association event.
