Anne Bieß, M.A., serves as a Research Associate at the Chair of Adult Education within the Institute for Vocational Education and Vocational Training Research at Technische Universität Dresden since 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogy with a specialization in adult education and continuing education from Chemnitz University of Technology in 2017, followed by a Master of Arts in Pedagogy focusing on learning cultures from the same institution in 2019. Her early career included roles as a student assistant from 2015 to 2017 and research assistant from 2017 to 2019 at the Chair of Adult Education and Continuing Education at Chemnitz University of Technology. In 2018, she worked as a research assistant on the project 'Adult education as cultural history - 100 years of VHS work in Saxony: A traveling exhibition on the history of education.' At TU Dresden, she contributed to the metaproject 'Research on the Internationalization of Vocational Education and Training' (MP-INVET) from 2020 to 2022, and since 2023, she has been a Research Associate in the Clou project: Future Cluster for Innovative Vocational Education.
Anne Bieß's research focuses on project work in adult education and continuing education in structurally weak regions, adult education in the context of regional development processes, networking and cooperation between general and vocational further education stakeholders in project contexts, and Volkshochschularbeit in Saxony. She actively teaches seminars in the Master's program in Continuing Education and Organizational Development, including 'Quality development' and 'Key qualifications.' Her scholarly contributions include co-authorship of 'Mapping Research on European VET Policy With a Systematic Literature Review Method: A Pilot Study' in the International Journal for Research in Vocational Education and Training (2021), 'Im Osten nichts Neues?
