Rate My Professor Annet Kaviira

Annet Kaviira is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda College of Education, the institution formerly known as Kigali Institute of Education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a major in Economics from a recognized university. She also earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and a Post Graduate Certificate in Social and Educational Research Methods. With this academic foundation, Kaviira brings a strong background in teaching and research to her role in the Humanities, Arts and Languages Education department.

Her professional experience encompasses extensive work in entrepreneurship, marketing, competence-based curriculum development, and school leadership. Kaviira has contributed to collaborative projects and consultancies involving organizations such as Educate, VVOB, USAID, Mastercard, Higher Education for Development, and the Rwanda Education Board, focusing on promoting entrepreneurship and advancing education initiatives across Rwanda. Her research interests center on gender differences in education outcomes, including a situational analysis of enrollment and graduation rates in public and private higher learning institutions in Rwanda. She has participated in numerous training programs to enhance her expertise in these areas. Kaviira continues to support educational development through her teaching, research, and institutional collaborations at the University of Rwanda College of Education.
