Dr. Shah earned his MBBS from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi, in 1991, and completed residency training at Delaware State Hospital in 1999. He holds certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. His research focuses on treatment-resistant depression and ketamine. Key publications include 'Antidepressant Efficacy of Ketamine in Treatment-Resistant Major Depression: A Two-Site Randomized Controlled Trial' (American Journal of Psychiatry, 2013), co-authored with Murrough et al., and 'Ketamine for Treatment-Resistant Unipolar Depression' (CNS Drugs, 2012), co-authored with Mathew et al.
