Dr. Augustine Donkor is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and Academic Operations Coordinator for Accounting and Finance at Murdoch University's Business School. His career encompasses extensive experience in academia, industry, and consultancy, primarily gained in Ghana and Australia. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Edith Cowan University, awarded in 2021 for his thesis titled 'Combined assurance, firm reporting and market value,' an MPhil, and a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Donkor previously served as a lecturer at the University of Ghana, taught accounting and finance at other Australian universities, and assisted a local business college in achieving professional accreditation by redesigning its accounting major to CPA Australia and CA ANZ standards. He has also contributed to his community as a volunteer project accountant for the Organisation of Africa Communities and treasurer for the Ghana Association of Western Australia.
Donkor's research specializations center on sustainability accounting and reporting, corporate governance, and integrated reporting, exploring their effects on firm sustainability performance and market value. His peer-reviewed publications include 'Carbon emissions and firm value: does firms' commitment to sustainable development goals matter?'
