Becs Wilson serves as the Development Manager for the Division of Humanities at the University of Otago. In this capacity, she builds connections and partnerships with alumni, friends, and supporters. She is also the Development Manager for the University of Otago, Christchurch, focusing on strategic development, communications, and fundraising within the Christchurch region.
Before joining the University of Otago, Becs Wilson was Head of Development for Natural History New Zealand. More recently, she acted as Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Otago Community Hospice, managing human resources, education, public relations, communications, fundraising, volunteers, and retail. Previously at Otago Community Hospice, she held the role of Development and Engagement Manager. Her professional experience supports fundraising efforts for various University of Otago initiatives, including the Children's Writer Residency, Christchurch Health Research Advancement Fund, Future Health Researchers Programme, and Caroline Plummer Fellowships in Community Dance.
