Associate Professor Behzad Rismanchi is a leading expert in sustainable building design, energy efficiency, and decarbonisation strategies at the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. Serving as Associate Professor in Building Energy in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering since joining the university in 2015, he leads research within the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Group, focusing on building services engineering, occupant thermal comfort, renewable energy integration, and strategies for reducing building energy consumption. Rismanchi holds a PhD in Energy Management and is a professional member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
