Ben Pogodzinski is a Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and Assistant Dean of Administrative and Organizational Studies and Theoretical/Behavioral Foundations in the College of Education at Wayne State University. He also holds the position of Research Faculty for the Detroit Partnership for Education Equity & Research. Pogodzinski earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2009, Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) from Georgetown University in 2003, and B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1999. His responsibilities encompass leadership in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies division, including doctoral programs. He engages in community activities through the Catholic Schools Council of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Pogodzinski's research focuses on how state and district policies, school organizational contexts, and labor relations shape teachers’ instructional practices, effectiveness, and labor market decisions.
