Bingtian Su serves as Dean of the School of Physical Education at Jinan University. He earned a master's degree in International Economics and Trade from the College of Economics at Jinan University in 2017. In April 2018, he was appointed associate professor in the School of Physical Education at Jinan University, where he teaches athletic training. Su has held additional leadership roles including Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Department of Physical Education. In April 2025, he was appointed Dean of the School of Physical Education at Jinan University. He is also a master's supervisor.
Su is a former track and field athlete specializing in the 100 metres event. He achieved an Asian record of 9.83 seconds in the 100m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In 2021, Jinan University established the Su Bingtian Center for Speed Research and Training. Su received the 2021 Touching China Award. He has contributed to academic publications, including a paper reviewing the development of Chinese men's 100m sprinting from 2010 to 2018, and co-authored research on multidimensional signal decoding via anisotropic hydrogels for motion monitoring published in Cell Reports Physical Science. Su donated to establish the 983 High-Level Athlete Training Fund at Jinan University.
