Dr. Bojana Spasojevic serves as Senior Lecturer in Aviation Management within the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Griffith University on the Nathan Campus. She holds a PhD from Griffith University, awarded in 2020, and is affiliated with the Griffith Institute for Tourism and Griffith Aviation. Her research specializes in the interdisciplinary fields of tourism and air transport management, focusing on stakeholder engagement, governance in air route development, the relationship between air transport and tourism, and sustainable aviation practices including decarbonisation. Spasojevic's work bridges academic inquiry with practical industry applications.
Key publications include her highly cited systematic literature review 'Air transport and tourism: A systematic literature review (2000–2014)' published in 2018 in Current Issues in Tourism (246 citations), 'Leadership and governance in air route development' (2019, Journal of Air Transport Management, 54 citations), 'Stakeholder engagement in the development of international air services: A case study on Adelaide Airport' (2018, 40 citations), 'The potential for geotourism development on the Srem Loess Plateau based on a preliminary geosite assessment model (GAM)' (2016, 46 citations), and 'Exploring the motives for religious travel by applying the AHP method: a case study of Vujan Monastery (Serbia)' (2016, 44 citations).
