Dr Brenda Stebbings is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women’s Health at the Dunedin School of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Otago. She contributes to clinical teaching and education in women's health within the Health Sciences Division. Additionally, she works at Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa in Dunedin, where she provides specialist care focused on sexual and reproductive health services. In 2012, she was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences, endorsed in clinical teaching, by the University of Otago.
Dr Stebbings is a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Sexual and Reproductive Health (NZCSRH) and currently serves as its Chair. She held the position of Treasurer for NZCSRH from 2019 to 2022. Her professional commitment centers on advancing sexual and reproductive health in Aotearoa New Zealand, with particular interests in organisational change and strategic planning within healthcare settings to support high-quality patient care. She also provides specialist care at a low-cost medical centre in Dunedin and participates in volunteer activities supporting community health initiatives.
