Bridget Mark is a Senior Professional Practice Fellow in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Otago, part of the Faculty of Health Professional Programmes in the Health Sciences Division. She possesses a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), is a Member of the Pharmaceutical Society (MPS), and holds registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand (RegPharmNZ). Mark teaches in the undergraduate curriculum of the He Rau Kawakawa programme offered by the School of Pharmacy, focusing on practical aspects of pharmacy education.
As Paper Co-ordinator for PHCY431 Structured Practical Experiential Programme, she manages a course comprising two four-week rotations that integrate clinical, technical, and professional elements to equip students with essential hands-on experience in pharmacy settings. Bridget Mark also acts as the Rural Placement Coordinator, supporting innovative pharmacy scholarships designed to provide students with exposure to rural pharmacy practice. A 2022 University of Otago news release highlighted her role alongside students James Windle, Saffron Lai, Rebecca Ritchie, and others in this initiative. She contributes to community pharmacy placements under PHCY310 and hospital placements as outlined in the 2026 BPharm Student Handbook. Mark presents professionalism prizes to outstanding graduates, such as those awarded to Suraiyaa Khan, Gyan Lumo, Annisaa Wan Mohd Izham, and Roisin Powell from the class of 2025.
