Robinson's academic interests center on the genetic factors contributing to tumour formation in endocrine glands, including the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary, with a focus on endocrine cancers. He has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, including chapters such as '90: Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma and Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2' in Endocrinology - E-Book: Adult and Pediatric (2010) and contributions to Endocrinology Adult and Pediatric: The Thyroid Gland (2013) and Oxford Desk Reference: Endocrinology (2018). His research has significant impact, evidenced by thousands of citations.
