Rate My Professor Bryan Moser

In his MIT roles, Moser oversees academic strategy for SDM, including curriculum development, teaching quality, and research. He leads instruction for the integrated SDM core curriculum covering systems architecture, systems engineering, and program management, and teaches advanced courses on engineering teamwork research and agent-based modeling of sociotechnical systems. As Director of the Global Teamwork Lab (GTL), he leads multidisciplinary research on complex sociotechnical systems in partnership with the University of Tokyo. His research examines teamwork and performance in socio-technical systems, utilizing model-building, agent-based simulation, interactive design, and instrumentation to boost engagement and performance of diverse teams addressing challenges in new product development, urban planning, R&D, infrastructure, and sustainability. Awards include the Karl Taylor Compton Prize for undergraduate citizenship and devotion to MIT, the MIT Alumni Award for Excellence in Technology and Policy, selection as a Hugh Hampton Young fellow (with ongoing service on the HHY Council), and, with SDM core faculty, the 2017 MIT Teaching with Digital Technology Award. He was elected President of the International Society of Transdisciplinary Engineering (ISTE).
