Carla Priscila Kamiya Carvalho Pessoa serves as a contracted physician in the Mastology division of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu, Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). She holds the title of Doutora in Ginecologia, Obstetrícia e Mastologia from UNESP, with her doctoral work completed around 2015. Her research and clinical focus centers on mastology, including the correlation of ultrasonographic features with immunohistochemical profiles of malignant breast tumors and evaluations of responses to primary chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at stages II and III.
At UNESP Botucatu, she supervises medical residency programs in mastology. She has contributed as a co-author to peer-reviewed publications addressing breast cancer prognosis, vitamin D supplementation during neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and related topics in tocogynecology. Her professional activities include responsibilities in patient care and residency training within the institution’s mastology services.
