Chantelle White serves as Unit Coordinator in the School of Design and the Built Environment, Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University. She coordinates GRDE1016 Digital Design 1, a core undergraduate unit offered internally through weekly 3-hour workshops with no fieldwork component and a credit value of 25.0. This unit introduces students to digital design production processes, emphasizing informed observation, analysis, conceptualisation, production, and concept iteration within the field of Digital Experience and Interaction Design. Students learn how aesthetics shape user experiences in digital products such as websites and apps, grounded in understanding human needs and target audiences. The unit uses Blackboard as the learning management system and has no prerequisites, co-requisites, or anti-requisites.
Chantelle White also coordinates GRDE2011 Web Design 1, focusing on concepts, skills, and toolsets essential for web design, and ICTE2002 UX Design 2, which delves into the psychology and principles of user experience design. These units are taught at the Bentley Perth Campus in Building 202. She collaborated with Frank Bear, Harriet Perryer, and Jonathan Pillai on “Expanding Horizons in Education Through AI and Creative Collaboration,” contributing to advancements in creative education through artificial intelligence.
