Charanjit Kaur is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of Education in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash Business School, Monash University. She specializes in coordinating, managing, and teaching large core statistics units to culturally diverse cohorts, employing innovative approaches such as interactive and student-focused activities in lectures. Selected publications are 'Chatbot-assisted learning in statistics: student engagement, experience, and teaching insights' (2025), 'Exploring data literacy self-perception among Indonesian high school students' (PLoS ONE, 2025), 'Data literacy skills for transition into tertiary education: an Indonesian context' (2023), 'Nudging at-risk students towards successful completion' (2023), and 'The effects of nudging on in-semester student learning behaviour and emotions: a case study of students at risk' (2021). She has led funded projects including 'Catch me before I fail: An Early Intervention Framework to Improve At-Risk Students’ Academic Performance, Engagement and Unit Retention Rates' (2022-2024), 'Data literacy in Indonesian High Schools: Bridging the data divide' (2022), and 'Nurturing Success Through Personalised Communication' (2019-2020). Charanjit has served as an assessor for the Australian Awards for University Teaching Panel (2019) and as a peer reviewer for the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology (2018) and the Australian Conference on Teaching Statistics (2023).
