About Charles

Associate Professor Charles Malpas is a clinical neuropsychologist, applied statistician, and educator holding appointments as Associate Professor in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences and the Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology), and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Melbourne, along with a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics from Swinburne University. Completing his clinical training and PhD in Alzheimer's disease research at the University of Melbourne, he undertook a clinical fellowship in epilepsy neuropsychology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His career includes roles as Honorary Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital since 2016, Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Translational Medicine at Monash University since 2019, and consultant neuropsychologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Alfred Health.
