Dr Charles Meribole serves as an adjunct senior lecturer at Curtin University Medical School within the Faculty of Health Sciences. His role involves contributing to the education and training of medical students at one of Australia's prominent health sciences institutions. Dr Meribole earned his primary medical qualification, MBBCH, from the University of Calabar in Nigeria in 1995. He subsequently obtained a Diploma in Anaesthesia (Dip.Anaes). In 2008, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), recognizing his proficiency in general practice. Complementing these credentials, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Women's Health (PGDWH), Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery (Advanced), and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Dr Meribole's clinical expertise centers on key areas of primary care. His special interests encompass skin cancer screening and skin checks, asthma management, hypertension, chronic disease management, occupational health, injury management, and pre-employment assessments. Additional focus areas include mental health support, men's health, children's health, and procedural skills such as Implanon insertion and Mirena insertion. Practicing at Lagoon Medical Centre, where he serves as Medical Director at the Yanchep location, Dr Meribole plays a vital role in delivering accessible healthcare services, including participation in Medicare Urgent Care Clinics to alleviate pressure on emergency departments and promote community well-being in Western Australia.
