Rate My Professor Christian Brenes

Dr. Christian Brenes is Clinical Professor and Founding Director of Digital Dentistry at High Point University’s Workman School of Dental Medicine. In this capacity, he implements digital dentistry across the clinical network, establishes the Digital Dental Laboratory, and directs the post-graduate Digital Dentistry Fellowship Program. He earned his DDS and M.S. in Prosthodontics. Previously, he served as an associate professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he directed the institution's first Digital Dentistry master’s program, and as Assistant Professor at the Dental College of Georgia, Augusta University. Brenes completed implant surgical and restorative training prior to obtaining his master’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.

Brenes’ academic interests center on prosthodontics and digital dentistry, including CAD/CAM technologies, 3D printing, dental implants, esthetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry. His research explores human-computer interaction in dentistry, implant dentistry, fixed prosthodontics, and dental materials.
