Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Christian Tallau serves as Professor of Finance at the Münster School of Business within Fachhochschule Münster since 2012. He earned his Diplom degree in Business Administration in 2003 and his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 2007 from the Faculty of Economics and Management at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. From 2004 to 2007, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Business Money Economics at Göttingen. In 2007, he was a Visiting Researcher at Auckland University of Technology. Prior to his professorship, Tallau held positions as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company Inc. starting in 2007 and executive financial leadership roles within the Bilfinger SE group from 2012. In addition to his academic role, he directs the Institut für Kreditanalyse at Fachhochschule Münster and serves as Managing Director of Quantil Consulting GmbH, where he advises prominent credit and financial service institutions, asset managers, and real estate companies on matters including risk management and credit analysis.
Tallau's teaching and research areas encompass finance and banking economics, with specific focus on rating and credit risk management, banking regulation, financial modeling, and real estate finance. He has produced numerous scientific and practitioner-oriented publications in these fields. Notable works include the books 'Bewertung von Venture-Capital-Investitionen: Verfahren der Bewertung von Start-up-Unternehmen' (2009) and 'Theorie und Praxis der Investitionsrechnung: Übungs- und Klausuraufgaben zu statischen und dynamischen Verfahren' (2019).
