About Chu-Han

Chu-Han Feng is a research scientist at the Rosalind & Morris Goodman Cancer Institute at McGill University. She holds a bachelor's degree in interdepartmental honours immunology from McGill University and completed her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the same institution, where she conducted research in the laboratory of Michel L. Tremblay. Her work centers on cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on natural killer (NK) cells and the roles of protein tyrosine phosphatases PTPN1 and PTPN2 in enhancing anti-tumor responses.

Feng has contributed to studies demonstrating that inhibition of PTPN1/PTPN2 improves NK cell therapy by enhancing IL-2 signaling and mitigating TGFβ1 responses. A key publication is the 2026 paper titled “PTPN1/PTPN2 inhibition improves NK cancer therapy by enhancing IL-2 and mitigating TGFβ1 response,” published in EMBO Reports, with co-authors including Michel L. Tremblay. She has presented her research at events such as the GCI Spotlight, MIMM Graduate Student Seminar, and MRM Talks. Feng is also noted as a research associate and has been involved in collaborative work with the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre on approaches using cord blood-derived NK cells for potential clinical applications in cancers including leukemia, glioblastoma, kidney cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer.
