Claire Willis serves as the Administrator in the Department of Surgery and Critical Care at the University of Otago, Christchurch, with a particular focus on supporting the Anaesthesia section. She joined the department in 2002 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of departmental operations. As the primary contact person for medical students, she coordinates essential academic and clinical activities, including the Critical Care timetable for 6th-year medical students covering rotations in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, and Emergency Medicine. Additionally, she manages the Clinical Orientation timetable for 4th-year medical students and administers Professional Development programs for 4th, 5th, and 6th-year students. Claire Willis acts as a key liaison between university staff, medical students, and personnel from the Canterbury District Health Board, as well as other university departments, ensuring seamless integration of administrative support with clinical and educational needs.
