Dana Mialki, C.P.A., M.S.T., serves as Associate Professor of Accounting, Accounting Coordinator, and Chair of the Department of Business within the Department of Economics and Business at Washington & Jefferson College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College and her Master of Science in Taxation from Robert Morris University. Before transitioning to academia, Mialki gained over 11 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on individual, trust, partnership, and S corporation taxation. Her professional responsibilities included teaching continuing public education courses and responding to audits and reviews from the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities.
In her faculty role, Mialki teaches essential courses such as the accounting senior capstone Auditing and Assurance Services, Taxation of Business Entities, Taxation of Individuals, and Financial Accounting. As Department Chair and program coordinator, she leads initiatives across Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Financial Economics, Human Resource Management, International Business Administration, Marketing, and Business Administration. For seven consecutive years, she has directed the college's participation in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, where accounting students provide free tax preparation services to the community. In the year prior to 2026, volunteers completed 248 tax returns and contributed 338 service hours during the Spring semester from late January through mid-April. Mialki also acts as a faculty mentor for the athletics department, supporting student-athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits.
