Daniel Macshane serves as Group Leader, Timetables, within the Student Experience leadership team at the University of Otago. This administrative role supports the management of student timetables and scheduling processes essential for academic operations across the Dunedin campus. The Student Experience directorate, led by Director Jo Gibson, oversees a range of student services including admissions, course management, examinations, records, scholarships, prizes, awards, and academic integrity matters such as Academic Misconduct, Safe Assign, and the Academic Progress Policy. Macshane's contributions ensure efficient timetable coordination, facilitating smooth delivery of teaching and learning activities.
Daniel Macshane also participates in key university committees as the nominee for the Director of Student Experience. He is a member of the Summer School Operational Group under the Summer School and Continuing Education Board, serving ex-officio and appointed by the Director. Similarly, he serves on the Distance Learning Advisory Committee in an ex-officio capacity. These appointments highlight his involvement in strategic oversight of summer school programs, continuing education, and distance learning initiatives at the University of Otago.
