Daniel White is an Adjunct Professor of Law at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he teaches a Transactional Practice course to second-year law students. This course introduces students to corporate transactions and provides hands-on experience with tasks relevant to transactional law practice. White earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2016, where he served as Business Editor of The Ohio State Law Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, obtained in 2017.
In his professional career, Daniel White is counsel in the Cleveland office of Jones Day, representing private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and other privately held businesses in complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, minority investments, and equity financings. He regularly counsels clients on corporate governance and general corporate and commercial law matters across a broad range of industries, such as automotive, consumer goods, food and nutrition, health care, manufacturing, professional services, supply chain and logistics, and technology. His private equity clients have included Blue Point Capital Partners, Center Rock Capital Partners, Morgan Stanley Private Equity, Radial Equity Partners, Rockwood Equity Partners, and The Riverside Company. Representative matters include advising Center Rock Capital Partners on the acquisition of Stoneridge Control Devices, Inc., a division of Stoneridge, Inc.; Technology Recovery Group Ltd. on its sale to Gemspring Capital; Morgan Stanley Capital Partners on the sale of Alliance Technical Group to private equity funds affiliated with Blackstone; Rockwood Equity Partners on the acquisition and financing by portfolio company Clean Water Environmental Services of Wright’s Hydroseeding; Center Rock Capital Partners on the acquisition of GHSP, a global leader in mechatronic systems; Morgan Stanley Capital Partners on multiple acquisitions and financings involving Nivel Parts & Manufacturing, Alliance Technical Group, and FoodScience LLC; Blue Point Capital Partners on the sale of Stax to Grant Thornton Advisors; The Riverside Company on the acquisition of Wall Street Prep, Inc.; and Radial Equity Partners on the acquisition of Premier Dental Products Company.
