Dr. Mogana Darshini Ganggayah is a Lecturer in the School of Business at Monash University Malaysia, specializing in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, where she teaches Business Analytics. She obtained her PhD in Data Science from Universiti Malaya on 31 August 2021 and her Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics from the same institution on 22 October 2018. Following her doctoral studies, she joined University Malaya Medical Centre as a data scientist to implement her research outcomes and pipelines in healthcare settings. Her expertise spans programming languages such as Python and R, database management with MySQL, and web technologies including HTML and PHP.
Mogana Darshini Ganggayah's research focuses on data science and analytics, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, data visualization, and predictive modeling. In health informatics, she investigates disease-based prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment benefits using machine learning algorithms. Within the business domain, her work emphasizes data literacy, visualizations, and predictive analytics. Key publications include 'Assessment of transformer-based AI in clinical oncology' (2026), 'Predictive sustainability and machine learning in ESG decision-making for entrepreneurs' (2026), 'Accelerating autism spectrum disorder care: a rapid review of data science applications in diagnosis and intervention' (June 2025), 'Enhancing PETRONAS share price forecasts: a hybrid Holt integrated moving average' (February 2025), and 'Correlates of suicide ideation among young adults: insights from machine learning algorithms' (2024). She has secured awards such as the Monash School of Business SEED Grant 2024 (RM8000), Silver Awards for 'PSYCHESYNC: Smartwatch Tracking and Classifying Mental Health for Personalized Wellbeing' and 'Innovative Scoring System for Statistical Reasoning, Literacy, and Thinking (REaLITI) Assessment Instruments' (13 June 2024), a School of Business Seed Grant for 'Social Media Analytics for Banking Risk: An ASEAN Perspective' (2025), and a Bronze Award at the 14th International Invention, Innovation & Design Competition 2025 (26 June 2025). As an HRDC certified trainer, she has trained over 1000 participants in machine learning, big data analytics, business intelligence, Python, and R programming. She collaborates with researchers from Cambridge University, Universitas Indonesia, and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, India, and has contributed to events like 'FROM DATA TO AI-DRIVEN DECISIONS: UNLOCKING VALUE THROUGH ANALYTICS AND MONETIZATION' (14 May 2025).
