Professor David Evans is Professor of Special and Inclusive Education in the Sydney School of Education and Social Work within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. He serves as the convenor of the special and inclusive education programs and coordinates the Master of Special and Inclusive Education (Distance) program. His career emphasizes leadership in developing educational programs that promote equity and access for students with diverse learning needs.
Evans's research specializations encompass learning sciences, psychology of education, curriculum design to address special education needs, evidence-based practices, inclusive education, teacher attitudes toward inclusion, and universal design for learning. Through his academic roles, he advances inclusive practices in schools and early childhood settings.
