David Jassby is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received a B.Sc. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2002, an M.S. from the University of California, Davis in 2005, and a Ph.D. from Duke University in 2011. He joined the faculty at UCLA in 2017-2018, having previously served as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside.
Professor Jassby’s research interests include water treatment and desalination, membrane separation processes, membrane material fabrication, electrochemistry, and environmental applications of nanotechnology. He is the recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2016 and the ACS Petroleum Research Fund’s Doctoral New Investigator Award.
