Dr. Davinder Sharma is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Management Studies at Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies (BCIPS), Dwarka, New Delhi, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). He earned his Ph.D. in Commerce, Masters in Personnel Management from the University of Pune with First Division, LL.B., and B.Com. (Hons.). As one of the founding faculty members, Dr. Sharma has dedicated over 16 years to BCIPS, contributing significantly to its BBA and MBA programs through teaching, leadership, and institutional development. His career spans more than 14 years in academics and industry, where he has held various roles enhancing management education.
Dr. Sharma's academic interests and research specializations encompass Human Resource Management, Compensation Management, Team-building and Group Dynamics, Industrial Relations, and Labour Laws. He is a Life Member of the All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD). Dr. Sharma has authored the book Performance Appraisal and Management, published by Himalaya Publishing House. He has published several research papers in national refereed journals, including Kaizen in the Indian Context-A Case Study (International Journal of Management, 2012), Indian Managers in Multinational Companies and Challenges Faced by Them (2023), Assessing the Impact of Self-Concept, Self-Disclosure and Competence Support on Students’ Stress Levels and Academic Achievement: The Mediating Role of Achievement Motivation (2024), Gender and Cognitive Performance (International Journal of Management and Human Resource Management, 2024), A Cross-Cultural Study on Individualism and Collectivism (Journal of Management, 2014), and Citizen Satisfaction with Online Passport Services (International Journal of Management, 2019). Additionally, Dr. Sharma has served as Convener for national conferences at BCIPS, such as the 10th National Conference on Building Organizational Resilience & Thriving Towards Performance Optimization: A Way Forward, and contributed to committee roles including the Grievance Committee.
