About Davut

Davut Ertekin is an Associate Professor in electrical engineering with affiliations at the University of Western Australia and Bursa Technical University. He serves as a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Australia since September 2024. His academic career includes serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bursa Technical University since March 2018. Prior to his academic roles, he was Managing Director at Dinamik Röntgen San ve Tic, Ltd. Şti. in Ankara, Turkey, from September 2014 to February 2018. Ertekin earned his PhD in Power Electronics from Atatürk University between February 2013 and July 2017, his MSc from Islamic Azad University of Tabriz from February 2007 to July 2009, and his BSc from the same institution from September 2002 to July 2006.

Ertekkin's research specializes in power electronics, renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, DC-DC power converters and inverters, and artificial intelligence applications in control systems.
